Note on Some Results concerning Fermates Last Theorem

چکیده
Let us suppose that the equation (1) x* + y + z = 0 is satisfied in integers prime to each other and that p is an odd prime. We shall divide the discussion into two parts. We shall refer to the case where xyz is prime to p as Case I, and to the case where xyz = 0 (mod p) as Case II. The present note will be confined to statements of new results obtained by the writer for both cases, without proofs. 1. Case I. Transformations of the Kummer Criteria. If

A Note on the Descent Property Theorem for the Hybrid Conjugate Gradient Algorithm CCOMB Proposed by Andrei
In [1] (Hybrid Conjugate Gradient Algorithm for Unconstrained Optimization J. Optimization. Theory Appl. 141 (2009) 249 - 264), an efficient hybrid conjugate gradient algorithm, the CCOMB algorithm is proposed for solving unconstrained optimization problems. However, the proof of Theorem 2.1 in [1] is incorrect due to an erroneous inequality which used to indicate the descent property for the s...
متن کاملA note on spectral mapping theorem
This paper aims to present the well-known spectral mapping theorem for multi-variable functions.
متن کاملA Note on the Comparisons among Coherent Systems
Using the concept of system signature introduced by Samaniego (1985), Kochar et al. (1999) compared the lifetimes of the systems in which the lifetimes of the components are independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) random variables. Their results are extended to the systems with exchangeable components by Navarro et al. (2005). This paper gives some alternative proofs to obtain th...
متن کاملSome extensions of Darbo's theorem and solutions of integral equations of Hammerstein type
In this brief note, using the technique of measures of noncompactness, we give some extensions of Darbo fixed point theorem. Also we prove an existence result for a quadratic integral equation of Hammerstein type on an unbounded interval in two variables which includes several classes of nonlinear integral equations of Hammerstein type. Furthermore, an example is presented to show the effic...
متن کاملThe Power of Powerful Numbers
In this note we discuss recent progress concerning powerful numbers, raise new questions and show that solutions to existing open questions concerning powerful numbers would yield advancement of solutions to deep, long-standing problems such as Fermat's Last Theorem. This is primarily a survey article containing no new, unpublished results. A powerful number is a positive integer n which is div...
